This event will bring together subnational and local authorities, including members of the WHO European Regions for Health Network (RHN), the Healthy Cities Network (HCN), and the European Global Network of Age-friendly Cities and Communities (GNAFCC). It will introduce the draft Strategy and invite your insights to shape its direction.

Local and regional authorities play a unique and critical role in advancing healthy ageing:* They have the autonomy to tailor policies to community needs.* They oversee health, social, and infrastructure services essential for healthy ageing.* They bridge national strategies with community-based solutions.* They are well-positioned to pilot and scale innovative approaches to ageing-related challenges.

By contributing to the Ageing is Living Strategy, you help shape meaningful policies, align priorities across levels of governance, and ensure healthy ageing is seen not as a burden, but as a catalyst for progress, inclusion, and resilience.

The two-hour session will include:* A plenary with keynote presentations and a lightning panel discussion;* Breakout discussions focused on:Promoting health and well-beingTransforming care ecosystemsCreating enabling age-friendly environmentsChallenging ageism and promoting inclusionAlong with the consultation, we invite you to complete a short Likert-scale survey to help identify the most relevant and feasible actions for the health sector at local and subnational levels over the next five years.

Please share the invitation for the 4 June consultation and the survey with cities and communities across Türkiye.
