Our National Network President Attended COP29

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and President of Healthy Cities National Network of Türkiye, Dr. Cemil Tugay attended the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) held in the capital of Azerbaijan-Baku this year, where leaders, experts and representatives of non-governmental organizations from many countries came together. President Tugay met with the Mayor of Baku, Mr. Eldar Azizov and visited Baku Turkish Martyrdom and Izmir Park.

The 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) was held in Baku, Azerbaijan with the participation of countries party to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in order to reduce global warming and greenhouse gas emissions. Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and President of Healthy Cities National Network of Türkiye, Dr. Cemil Tugay who was invited to the summit where leaders from all over the world met, made a presentation titled ‘How to Promote Healthier, Happier Cities’.
