THCA Council Members Supported European Mobility Week Activities in Burdur

Turkish Healthy Cities Association (THCA) Council Members supported European Mobility Week Activities at the Council meeting which held inBurdur, on September 21, 2018.Council meeting of THCA in September was hosted by Ali Orkun Ercengiz, Mayor of Burdur. The meeting was presided over by Menderes Türel, the Chair of the THCA and the Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. THCACouncil Members Salih Kenan Şahin, Mayor of Pendik, and Damla Toprak, Council Member of KadıköyMunicipality, participated in the meeting.

Prior to meeting, a press statement was issued regarding the European Mobility Week, which is celebrated with various activities in Europe and Turkey between 16-22 September every year. In the press statement, Chair of THCA Türel, and Mayor of Burdur,Ali OrkunErcengiz have emphasized that the use of bicycles and public transport must be increased, and discussed the importance of European Mobility Week.

After the meeting, council members supported the bicycle tour organized by the Burdur Municipality within the scope of European Mobility Week activities.
